Interview with Evgeniy Altynpara – CEO, Cleveroad
1. Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company.
I am CEO at Cleveroad which is an outsourcing company engaged in mobile and web app development. We work with startups, B2B businesses, and enterprises. The company is located in Ukraine with headquarter in Dnipro and second office in Kharkiv, and it also has an office in the US, Redwood, CA. Evgeniy Altynpara is CEO and Founder at Cleveroad. It’s a mobile and web app development company with headquarter in Ukraine. We help medium, enterprise-scale businesses and startups to build their ideas.
2. What was the idea behind starting this organization?
Software development was always my favorite scope of activity. That is why I chose a faculty of applied mathematics to learn programming and math sciences at university. After graduation, I worked as a freelancer a while, but my main goal was to create my own software development company which will provide users with high-quality services. That is how Cleveroad was born in 2014. And today, we offer reliable cooperation and skilled specialists for our customers.
3. What are the services you offer to your clients?
We are engaged in full-stack development of software products for iOS, Android, and web. We offer software development on a turnkey basis - starting from the planning stage and wireframing to release and post-release support.
4. What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors / outsourcing?
We have an in-house team, a staff of developers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, and PMs which build software for customers located in any other region of the world. As we work as an outsourcing company, we are involved more in the development of mobile and web apps for foreign clients mostly.
5. After service is a necessary part of development. How do you provide customer support to your client?
Based on individual requirements of the project and personal agreements with a customer, our specialists provide all the necessary support services of the project like additional features implementation if necessary or software management.
6. Give your opinions on how far this app revolution can make a difference in the technology world?
In my opinion, as the technological capabilities of mobile apps become stronger and more advanced, I expect to see more digitalization of various fields of activity and professions. Mobile apps change the way people do their business and interact with customers, and I think that such niches like healthcare, FinTech, real estate, eCommerce are the fields where mobile app revolution will bring maximum efficiency.
7. Define your future prospective and vision regarding new technologies like wearable and IoT apps?
Internet of Things has already put down deep roots in casual life, and it is successfully used in private lives and on enterprises. It can control the whole house - central heating, lighting, appliances, and serve as a connecting link on factories between different types of equipment. As for IoT, I see colossal perspectives of this technology, and our development team often works with software focused on IoT devices. As for wearables, it can be one connecting link between one device and another, but it is not so practical, in my opinion. Wearables cannot provide users with detailed information and good navigation since they have limited functionality and small screen. I am sure that smartphones, tablets and PCs solutions will prevail.
8. What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
The number of features - the more features are needed, the more time it takes accordingly. The complexity of features - some complex features may take much time for development. If you want to know how much it costs to create a mobile app, read our detailed article.
9. What are the challenges you see in the outsourcing industry and how much you’re prepared to face those challenges?
The main challenges, I think, are cultural and language difference and time difference. Also, it is a real challenge to find the right and reliable outsourcing partner, so I recommend those who want to outsource their projects learn all information about a future partner. As for time and culture - we always focus on the interests of our customer first, and we adapt to their requirements and needs.
10. What latest technologies and tools you’re planning to implement for mobile app development?
For Android - Flutter for cross-platform development, Android JetPack Compose (after its release), and AR Core for augmented reality. For iOS, we plan to start using SwiftUI framework next year. and such frameworks like Combine and Project Catalyst as well.
